About Allison Latham-Jones (she/hers)

Allison is passionately aware of our struggles with our bodies and wanting to contribute to a better world. She believes helping clients find clothing that makes them feel incredible helps everyone realize their full potential and be the best version of themselves. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Gender and Women’s Studies in 2011, and founded Best Dressed Styling in April of 2016.

Since then, Best Dressed Styling has grown and expanded to accommodate more clients with a wide range of fashion challenges, including new mamas, folks of all budgets and incomes, plus size clients, helping with influencer brand collaborations, commercial work, working with men and masculine-of-center people, folks with big career shifts or changes as they age, and more. Allison is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and especially recognizes that underrepresented groups can face additional challenges in the retail world. Her identities include being a queer cis femme woman.

Allison’s approach to styling is body positive and holistic; this means we won’t be forcing you into black or dark clothing, heels, or belts if those aren’t already your thing in order to magically appear more slim. This is because true style exists for ALL body shapes and sizes and it isn’t found in weird optical illusions that favor smaller bodies - it’s found in being truly confident and happy in what you’re wearing because you LOVE how it feels and looks. And all bodies deserve to feel confident and happy in their clothes! Her holistic approach means we’ll also look at your lifestyle when we discuss what clothes you need and take into account your own personal preferences and what will truly work for YOUR life. No dry-clean-only fancy clothes if you don’t have time for that! Or if you love dry clean-only clothes, I’ve got the dish on the best one in town and I’ll share all the info with you.

She’ll teach you a simple, straightforward method to streamline decisions about shopping and closet cleaning. She also has a focus on eco-friendly approaches, such as shopping the fruitful secondhand market to save money and the environment. Working with Allison also means you’ll get recommendations on great places and brands to shop that are tailored just for you and your style.

Allison is a proud millennial mama of twins, and loves podcasts, sewing her own clothes, stracciatella truffles, reading too much nonfiction, and karaoke. Allison’s inclusive clothes swap tips were featured on Pop Fashion (named a top fashion podcast by Harper’s Bazaar and Refinery 29) and she was recently featured on podcast Break the Diet Cycle in September 2021 discussing how buying clothing that fits your current body is a form of self-love and body respect. She would love to work with you.
